I took these images in 1984, but the timeless experience is still available today at one of the finest steam operations anywhere. 
I was fortunate to have seen the Atlantic in operation during its short lived tenure on the Strasburg.

For anyone who is not aware, the Pennsylvania R.R. "Atlantic" 4-4-2 engine #7002 now resides in the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, directly across the street from the Strasburg Rail Road in Pennsylvania.  When you take a ride on the Strasburg, you should also go over to the museum and see the outstanding collection of Pennsylvania R.R. equipment.

Enjoyed our visit to Strasberg and the museum, hope to get back there some day.
