This season we have TWO Geology trains for the first time EVER! 
Trains depart from Antonito across the entire line.
First Geology Train run on Father's Day June 19th and the second one will run in the fall September 17th.

For the Junior Rock hounds among us:

Roger's video is of an inactive fault in the Dakota Sandstone formation in the Chama River Narrows about 3 miles north of Chama.  It is in one of the few spots of the railroad where sedimentary rocks predominate.  Further up Cumbres Pass, beyond Cresco Tank, the track rounds "Hamilton Point" where the railroad cuts through the Dakota Sandstone.  Again, this is one of the very few places on the C&TS where the geology is not comprised of volcanic formations.

PS I go this information from the C&TS guidebook "Ticket To Toltec" which is unsurpassed in its depth of knowledge on the C&TS. 

I've got my ticket and am pretty excited about going.  

I volunteered on the Track Sign Maintence crew last summer and was quite interested in the geology.

This is from around Windy point and always assumed it was copper ore
