FWRHS Night Photo Shoot 05/07/22
Author: JETRR

A great Saturday evening with the FWRHS hosting a photo shoot. The weather was great. Quite a few photo ops to be had.

Really nice but some flags on the locomotive would be a great enhancement.  ;>)

Nice photos; thanks for sharing them.  FWRHS means the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society, for those who need to know, thank you.

> Really nice but some flags on the locomotive would be a great enhancement. One of the few times I have seen 765 without flags. Special for those who wanted the flags removed? Most of the times I have seen 765 it is running as an "extra" with the white "flags" (metal panels, not cloth).

These are the type of flags being referred to as an 'enhancement'.  :^)

Since we weren't portraying an extra, but instead a regularly scheduled Nickel Plate freight from the day/time/era...we opted to holster the flags this time out.

Understood and appreciated.

I consider the "extra" flags to be a nice touch when running on the main lines (as an extra).
The NICTD South Shore also continues to display white lights when they run "extra" trains.

The photo with the two large US flags has green lanterns. Were these intended as "another section follows" indicators or did NKP use them for some other indication?

Great shots of 765, the crummy, and the Hudson.  What year was that Hudson?  About 1950?

Thanks! The vintage Indiana license plate is dated 1949, so my guess is a '49. The Hudsons have beautiful lines.
