Steam & Excursion > 4th of July weekend at Carson City?Date: 05/17/22 21:40 4th of July weekend at Carson City? Author: railstiesballast A friend is making plans to go to the Nevada State RR Museum in Carson City, NV, for a steam-up of (12?) engines.
He said that every surviving Virginia & Truckee engine will be there under steam. I do hope someone will be able to share some images and a report here. Thanks in advance. In fact only a couple of them are in the "serviceable" category. Also a couple of surviving V&T locomotives will miss the party.

Author: Odyssey I purchased general admission tickets and the early entry option for July 1 and 2nd at the Carson City RR Museum Steam Up. I plan to be posting images, but have no clue on the set-up etc. No matter what, I will be giving it my best shot!
