Will the C&TS or D&S shut down with the strike ?

Will the C&TS, the D&S or the Royal Gorge RY  shut down in sympathy with the likely RR strike Friday at midnight ? Thanks.

Are their Engineers, Conductors, and Trainmen members of the same unions as those involved with the current labor negotiations?

I don’t believe either is a union shop. So, if that is the case, not likely.

No, they're not in the same position as Amtrak and the Commuter lines when the greed that runs the freight railroads causes those to suspend operations.  The D&S and C&T will still run.

Not really relevant.  If they are not party to the national agreement, they are not party to the dispute even if they are in the same union.  It's a different set of employers and employees, and the agreements in question are not related.

Think of if Costco and Kroger employees were represented by the same union (I don't even know if both have a union, but just roll with the analogy), Costco workers are not walking out if there is a strike against Kroger.

The D&S and C&TS are non-union railroads, as are almost all tourist operations.

Anyone out there know of a tourist line with union representation?

OK buddy.   When was the last time you took a train down 14 miles of 4% grade with automatic air, retainers and NO dynamic brakes?

Yes, they are.  I forgot about them.  Back in the 1970's both the California Western and Sierra RR were union shops, but they were "diesel fireghts on weekdays, steam passenger on weekends" railroads.

Exactly!  There is a tourist railroad in the east, that involves a serious mountain grade.  In the ranks of that railroads' roster of engineers (who came from "Real Railroaders") are guys who refuse to handle a train unless the lead unit is equipped with dynamic brakes.

When I visited the WP&YR 40 years ago, Skagway-based crews were UTU and Whitehorse-based crews were Canadian Teamsters. Division point was Bennett, BC.
