Bob Date: 09/21/22 01:08 Re: N&W 611 Author: ClubCar Thanks Bob. That's a nice sharp photo of 611, and it could be just about anywhere. She will be in operation next weekend on the Strasburg Rail Road up in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area. This is so much better than sitting cold in a museum.
John in White Marsh, Maryland Date: 09/21/22 04:52 Re: N&W 611 Author: Jimbo As a guess, the location could be between Montvale and Pamplin where the second main has been removed after the 1959 Virginian merger. The terrain looks to be relatively flat.

Well done, Sir! W. ( You never know when a volunteer has the gumption to go on to be a very successful locomotive specialist. Clues: they work hard, they show up for work sessions, they prefer rags, hard work and a hammer, instead of a camera. At HICO we were very lucky to have been mentors to so many, who are the experienced "old timers", of today.) Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/21/22 07:22 by wcamp1472. Wes, how right you are. The ones who can be described with your words today are few. The vast majority seek the camera and the recognition. The ones who truly enjoy the hands on and WANT to learn more are deep in the trentches. They are smart enough to know the tools will teach them well. There is no prostectic for experience.
