Steam & Excursion > The Wait Was Worth it - Central Ohio 1293Date: 11/17/22 07:01 The Wait Was Worth it - Central Ohio 1293 Author: refarkas (Higher quality redos) It is September 5, 2012 in Sugarcreek, Ohio. I had been informed that the Age of Steam in Sugarcreek would be sending one of their locomotives to the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad for "Steam in the Valley 2012".
1.) I had hoped to get there soon enough to catch the locomotive on the turntable at the Age of Steam roundhouse, but I was too late. Still, what a beautiful sight the roundhouse is. 2.) There was smoke rising behind the roundhouse. How impressive and almost timeless the facility is. 3.) Central Ohio 1293 (Ex-CP 1293/Ohio Central 1293) is on her way north. She is a true gem. I heard he was "shot down" over a coal chute or it would have made the scene complete.
1522's auxiliary water car works well in that picture. They even left my striping on it. Date: 11/17/22 07:46 Re: The Wait Was Worth it - Central Ohio 1293 Author: MacBeau That last shot sure made it worth your effort, nice one.
