The Wait Was Worth it - Central Ohio 1293
Author: refarkas

(Higher quality redos) It is September 5, 2012 in Sugarcreek, Ohio. I had been informed that the Age of Steam in Sugarcreek would be sending one of their locomotives to the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad for "Steam in the Valley 2012".
1.) I had hoped to get there soon enough to catch the locomotive on the turntable at the Age of Steam roundhouse, but I was too late. Still, what a beautiful sight the roundhouse is.
2.) There was smoke rising behind the roundhouse. How impressive and almost timeless the facility is.
3.) Central Ohio 1293 (Ex-CP 1293/Ohio Central 1293) is on her way north. She is a true gem.

I'm still in awe over what JJJ built there.  I heard he was "shot down" over a coal chute or it would have made the scene complete.
1522's auxiliary water car works well in that picture.  They even left my striping on it.

Can you elaborate about the coal chute?
