Steam & Excursion > Some sand please

Texas & Pacific  2-10-4  # 657 is having its large sand dome filled  by a hostler at Lancaster Yard, Ft Worth Tx.   On this day T&P's hired photographer decided to try his luck shooting up to capture the labor of a hostler with the sun being some what of a enemy.  And, the cool weather contributed lots of steam..  It is apparent how small man is compared to the large engine in the one photo where the hostler is plainly visible, not be erased by the sun as in the first photo.  In the third photo 657 is pulling away from the sanders shooting steam up the heavens,  to allow another engine to get its fill.
