Steam & Excursion > A Good Day on the Great Smoky Mountains RailroadDate: 11/26/22 16:19 A Good Day on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad Author: RailRyder Today was a beautiful fall day in the Smoky Mountains and GSMR 1702 was running so I couldn't resist getting a few pictures! The first and second shots are in the Thomas Valley near Wilmot, and the last shot is just outside of Dillsboro, all in North Carolina.

Bob Date: 11/26/22 16:51 Re: A Good Day on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad Author: callum_out Very nice. There's a YouTube of a speeder trip on the line, pretty much full length and parts of the track looks
excellent and parts look like "Backwoods Railroads of the West". Out Date: 11/26/22 23:36 Re: A Good Day on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad Author: Notch7 A very nice set of pics.

Of course the unaltered Golden Glow headlight in '18 looked more prototypical that the twin sealed-beam seen here. Whucha gonna do?
