Running 50 year old cabooses

Is there anyone that is familiar with the requirements to run 50 year old cabooses in excursion service? I have heard that an FRA waiver is required, but I don't know much beyond that.

Any input on what is required would be appreciated.

The 50 Year Age Rule applies only to cars operated in interchange service.
It does not apply to cars that a railroad operates strictly on its own lines.
There is a new procedure whereby the Age can be extended to 65; link below:
