Someone had to do a little switching to find grain cars that are not tagged up that the 4014 is using for braking purposes.

Nice video.  It makes an interesting comparison to the somewhat famous video of 3985 several years ago climbing the same hill at about the same speed, while pulling a double-stack train with no diesel helper.  The image quality is much better now; locomotive performance not so much.
The 3985 video is still up on YouTube.

I got the video at home from Pentrex, great video, still love the one from Greg Scholl where she's deadheading to Omaha to pick up the passenger cars for an excursion and an SUV heads over the bridge and quickly hits the brakes once someone (driver or passenger) spots her working up Archer!

Don't remember Greg making a video on that trip in 1990. Mark 1 and Pentrex did the Sep. Trips. WB video did the famous doublestack trip in August of 90'.

It's either that or Railway Productions, but it wasn't with the APL Train, it was another excursion 3985 was on her way to do!

That should be the one with Railway Productions. It met a doublestack train while going up the hill and had a brown MOPAC caboose on the rear.

Care to share the title? I wouldn't mind looking for it.

That's the one, I get Railway and Greg's company mixed up since both are under the same umbrella!

After seeing the cover I realized I have this as well. 2001 trip I believe.

Is it against forum rules to post a YouTube link?
The title is "UP Challenger #3985 + 143 Freight Cars", credited to "Heavy Freight and Union Pacific 3985" by WB Video Productions.
Totally awesome -- 3985 is a beast!

He'd look AWESOME with 15,000 feet of stack train behind him. Let's see what he could REALLY do.

And the thing is, Bob or Steve gave the camera crew 2 quick toots, you never see that from Dickens since he wants everyone to be serious all the time instead of just enjoying themselves!
