PART 1 OF MORE TO COME.
Don't go trapsing off along the funky, dusty Nevada Talcum Powder dust or get almost Stuck on a rocky or rutty dirt road (like I almost used to!) Just to get that one great shot!
Leave that to the more experienced people who have the right vehicles and experience out here.
Plus not sure how good the cell service is, out here in certain spots.

Oh yes maybe bring a set of snake boots along too?

Please keep in mind I was there and all over the place in the early 1990's, I could be wrong, but I don't things have changed that much since then, this guide is intended for the Shoot N Scoot Chasers along paved roads and/or Intersate Photographers, NOT for the 4x4 out of the way Photographers!

1 Wendover Nev to Pilot Nev
Leave Wendover on I 80 West and get off at Pilot Exit,Turn Left and head up towards tracks or stay close to Interstate, it's your choice.

If you're heading east on I-80, get off at Pilot, turn right and it's your choice from there

You can opt for the Interstate noise and stay put right there off the Interstate on Pilot Drive, or drive further up and around to the RR xing, and wait for 4014. Suggest Staying on the Interstate side of crossing, if you don't want to get trapped by another possible train blocking your escape back to the Interstate.

You may have to cross over the tracks however to get the good sunny side shot of 4014? Not sure if this time of year, the sun might be straight up, but the view of Pilot Valley and Pilot peak to the North East is great.

Any other suggestions or corrections are more than welcome.
