Best narrow gauge photo freights....another opinion

John Craft's photo freights Oct 12-18, 1992, are hard to beat in my opinion.  Pretty much perfect weather,  three locos on the train October 16,  and a whole lot of fun.  Here are a few photos.

1.  The October 12 train
2-3.   October 16  doubleheaded on the point, and 497 as rear helper.

Nice shots.  These remind me of what used to be in trains magazine nearly 70 years ago, but in color :-)

I like #4 wih the Skyline slash burner in the shot, and yes the Craft charters were first rate.

Craft and I worked hard for quite a while setting all that up.  It helped that I had a crew of great railroaders to make it happen.  I was running 497 in these shots.

Excellent stuff! Not to impugn the NG photography we've all seen in past decades, but it sure is refreshing to see something beside the same scenery over & over... :^)

Pics 2 & 3 can't replicated without trespassing on unfriendly people's property....
