Steam & Excursion > NKP 765 on the W&LE

According to a couple videos over on "the Tube," Nickel Plate 765 got a chance to cut loose on the mainline yesterday (May 10th). Continuing with its 35th anniversary celebration, Wheeling & Lake Erie ran three employee specials with the engine between Brewster and New Cumberland, Ohio. Included running at about 40 mph, too!

Major kudos to W&LE for allowing the 765 to run on their tracks so much recently. Heck, in 2025, it's good to see ANY railroad opening (or reopening) its doors in any way to steam and excursion trips, but especially bigger ones like regionals.

I worked as car host on the KITCHI GAMMI CLUB and these were very good trips for the employees and their guests.
