One Train and Two Treasures - CVSR
Author: refarkas

Today's morning train on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad was powered by two of its Montreal Locomotive Works' FPA-4 locomotives in the usual one-on-the-south-end and one-on-the-north-end order. As these treasures are based on the ALCO FA cab body, what a joy it is to still see them in service.
1) (Closer shot) CVSR 6773 is crossing the remains of the Ohio and Erie Canal in Akron, Ohio on June 7, 2025. The writing on the bottom back of the locomotive reads "In memory of Charles A. Morgan Jr.".
2) (Wider view) CVSR 6773 is crossing the remains of the Ohio and Erie Canal in Akron, Ohio on June 7, 2025.
3) CVSR 6777 is being towed into the Akron Northside Station where the train wil stop to unload/load passengers, and the crews will change to 6777 for the northbound trip. The round mill wheel is on display to remind visitors to this location how important milling was to the Akron area.

Nice broadsides... especially the first frame.   Thanks, Bob!

( Just out of curiosity, any particular reason for the different nose paint schemes on the FAs?  The #6773 has a bit more of a classy look to it.  Not complaining... just wondering. )

6777 has the older version  of this paint scheme.
