Ross Rowland has spent a lot of time in the last decade to keep the idea of the American Freedom Train idea alive and has spent a lot of time on Capitol Hill lobbying for it.  Above is the latest information thats looks promising.

Sure Trump will back it, as long as his name is on it in the largest lettering possible.

PHall and others, Truying to be non-political here.  I am not a fan of Trump becaiuse of the "Big Beautiful Bill"  and how it will adversely effect milllions of Americans but as an AFT volunteer, I am all in if it happens.....

They aren't wrong, if Trump gets involved then he will attempt to put his name all over it as another "momumental achievement" of his. The moment he touches the project, it becomes a divisive political issue. Expect it to be boycotted and protested to hell.

You know, this whole idea of an American Freedom Train should be appreciated by all Americans period.  Whether or not you like the man in the White House or not, the whole idea should be to celebrate our nation's birthday and hopefully people will think about this and stop worrying about the political situation in the country right now.  I'm hoping that Ross Rowland is very successful and that we have this special train full of artifacts to be viewed by as many folks as possible and to be thankful for the country that we have.  God Bless America.

Well done, John.  Why is it impossible for so many people to dial down the emotion?  The AFT and Mr. Rowland's efforts are to be celebrated -- no matter who's involved.

It went very well.  Thank you John for being the voice of reason here and thank you as always Ross.

....when you think your job is threatened by disruptions in the globall supply chain, you can't hire workers for your business,  you are old or disabled and need Medicaid to get health care, or poor and need food stamps.  The current political climate has created all kinds of seemingly existential threats, real or imagined....magnified by extreme rhetoric on both sides.  Who knows what the reality will be when the dust settles, but traditional norms are being threatened and for the time being perception is reality.  Even the term "patriot" seems to mean different things to different people.  Change may be good or bad, but it is always full of risk.

As far as AFT 2.0 is concerned, we shall see. Think what you want, but IF it doesn't happen, a big cause will be that thing they call liability. I hope I'm wrong.
