I'll have to add this museum to my must visit list for a future trip to Baltimore.

then that to rescue the roundhouse.

About 25 years ago I took my son to see the streetcar museum and even then wondered how long the place would last, considering the age of the fellows that were working there. Sad to see how the roundhouse has been left to deteriorate by the owners (city of Baltimore). Yes, it will take a bit more money to fix the place up and make the area useable for the museum.

You are right about needing money to accomplish this.  As for the ages, true, may of those folks whom you met and saw have since passed away.  However, there are a number of younger folks who have gotten involved over the past 10 years or so.  Yes, they still could use more volunteers as all museums do, but at least they are still able to operate and maintain this fleet of streetcars along with the tracks on which they run.  As I stated, they do need more money, not only to move forward with the restoration and upgrade to the former Maryland & Pennsylvania R.R.
