I believe this was 611's only visit to Orrville and Brewster. Norfolk Southern spun off this line to the Wheeling & Lake Erie sometime in 1990. Think there were a few diesel-powered excursions in the early-to-mid '80s, but does anybody know if there were any other NS steam excursions in that area? Closest I can think of were with Nickel Plate 765, but those were not officially part of the steam program.

611 ran 3 trips from Brewster to Toledo in May 1989. Believe those were the only NS steam excursions on the W&LE besides the few diesel excursions at the time. NKP 765 was the only other steam engine I know of that did runs on that trackage too.
