Forty or More Years Ago - N&W 611

(Redo/repost) N&W 611 is Bellevue-bound as it passes through Cleveland, Ohio on its westbound ferry trip on 08/05/1985.

As for where I was when I photographed 611, on July 25, 2025 I posted this scenic view. This might give some idea of where I shot this westbound in Cleveland.

Very nice!

Fun fact: while the NS steam excursions passed through Cleveland many times, there were very few trips that started or ended there. (Likely due to a lack of turning facilities and/or sponsoring groups.) Apparently, the few that did used the station in Rocky River in the western suburbs.

I love bridges, and you sure framed the train perfectly.  Bridges seem to be even  tougher to build than buildings.

Thanks for the additional pic. So I'm thinking you were down in the Flats somewhere, or maybe on the west side of the Cuyahoga valley with a very long lens, looking northeast?? The structure on the top right of the 2nd pic seems to be part of the Terminal Tower.
