Steam & Excursion > UP 4014 at GreeleyDate: 09/30/25 14:55 UP 4014 at Greeley Author: masterphots By the time 4014 reached our photo spot at Ault, CO, midday high sun was right down the tracks. Took a very so-so shot as it passed and then joined the mob at the Greeley stop around 1:00 pm
My son and I had a great time meeting people and just the pure fun of seeing 4014 in action. A few miles of pacing the engine at 40 mph south of Greeley was an awsome experience. A couple of photos below. Date: 09/30/25 19:58 Re: UP 4014 at Greeley Author: OmahaTom Cool shots! Are the smoke lifters, or "elephant ears", gonna be a temporary addition or indefinite?
Tom Loftus Omaha, NE Date: 10/01/25 02:01 Re: UP 4014 at Greeley Author: LoggerHogger Ed says these are temporary.
Martin Date: 10/01/25 22:18 Re: UP 4014 at Greeley Author: atx_railfan I quite like the look of 4014 with the "wind wings" as i'm told to call them. I get that some folks are purists and I respect that, but it would be nice to see these stay on at least through the next national tour.
