Steam & Excursion > NYSW 142 leading "The Pumpkin Train"Date: 10/25/25 10:43 NYSW 142 leading "The Pumpkin Train" Author: Pattenburg With this being the last weekend for "The Pumpkin Train" on the Bel-Del Line out of Phillipsburg, NJ, I wanted to get some photos of it with the fall foliage during its first run of the day. Autumn color has been sparse this year in our area. The first photo was taken at the Baer Road grade crossing, a favorite spot of mine for morning photos as the cross bucks make for a nice subtle frame of 142. That second photo was at an anonymous spot that had some colorful autumn colors. I will say there were quite a few railfans taking photos of the first run of the day.
