Steam & Excursion > D&RGW 223 Update

The City of Ogden, UT has transferred ownership of Denver & Rio Grande Western narrow gauge C-16 class Grant 2-8-0 #223 to the 223 Locomotive Foundation for an operational restoration. Once the locomotive is returned to operation, it will return to Colorado and is expected to visit the Cumbres & Toltec and Durango & Silverton, eventually moving to a new permanent home at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, CO. For those that don't know, the Colorado Railroad Museum has an operating railroad at its location. Therefore, the 223 will be operating there.
