Steam & Excursion > N&W 611 Shenandoah Valley Limited October 18th & 19thDate: 11/03/25 18:27 N&W 611 Shenandoah Valley Limited October 18th & 19th Author: wsshptd Saturday October 18th my wife, son, and I found ourselves in Virginia chasing Virginia Scenic Railway's Shenandoah Valley Limited on the Buckingham Branch Railroad both the 9am and 2:30pm trips. On Sunday we rode the 9am trip and chased the 2:30pm trip before heading back home to NC. I rarely breakout the camera anymore but it was nice to have a weekend getaway and experience some mainline steam.
Part 1 and 2 are Scenes of the 9am run from Goshen to LaGrange and return 1.We were late getting up and out of the hotel that morning so we were only able to get one shot of the eastbound run seen along Hebron Rd at Snyder Va 2.The westbound return trip to Goshen Va with 611 bringing up the rear by the signals at milepost 230.3 near Christian Va 3.Buckingham Branch Railroad GP38-2 16 leading westbound at the Bells Valley Date: 11/03/25 18:32 Re: N&W 611 Shenandoah Valley Limited October 18th & 19th Author: holiwood very nice

1.I spotted this angle by accident and thought I would give it a try. This is at Snyder Va along Hebron Rd near the siding at LaGrange 2.611 bringing up the rear west of Craigsville Va Part 4 to follow Date: 11/03/25 18:47 Re: N&W 611 Shenandoah Valley Limited October 18th & 19th Author: wsshptd Part 4
The first two shots are of the train passing by Bells Valley and finally 611 easing down the Goshen Industrial Lead to wrap up Saturday`s trips. We followed it East as far as LaGrange before we headed for home. First up was Amtrak 50 the eastbound Cardinal followed by 611 both seen at the Cove Run Farm not far outside Goshen Va

We caught up to the train one last time with 611 bringing up the rear passing the signals at the Westend of LaGrange siding headed back West for Goshen. Thank You all for looking.
