Steamin’ through the storm
Author: wye-it

Friday, October 24th, heading north on Hwy. 101 in a nasty storm, we passed this OCSR steam excursion in Rockaway, Oregon.  Several times on curves we noticed the sideways rain moving faster than we were.  As is her custom, my lovely bride had her camera handy to shoot whatever we saw of interest and we pulled over a couple miles north of Rockaway for this shot.  She rolled the window down for about 5 seconds to shoot a burst, and got soaked in the process.

The wind continued through the rest of the weekend, but the rain let up a couple times, enabling a Saturday afternoon excursion to Cape Disappointment at the mouth of the Columbia River.  Mrs. Wyatt got this shot to add to her 2026 calendar.

Thanks for sharing Mrs Wyatt images around stormy Oregon.  She's doing great.  We hope to see more from her.
