Steam & Excursion > B&O One-of-a-KindDate: 12/31/25 00:03 B&O One-of-a-Kind Author: MacBeau In 1928, Mount Clare built the one and only P-9 with a watertube firebox, Caprotti poppet valves, and then named it the President Cleveland. The 5320 lasted only until 1929 when it was reconfigured into a P-9a, losing its Caprotti poppet valves in the process. By 1947 it had been rebuilt into a P-7 according to steamlocomotive.com. John S. Powell caught it at Folsom, Pennsylvania leading #4, the St. Louis-New York Express on April 27, 1929 in its as built appearance. Additional views of this locomotive in its different configurations can be found at North East Rails.

No details come to mind, though. |
