Steam & Excursion > Impeached Presidential PacificDate: 01/06/26 00:06 Impeached Presidential Pacific Author: MacBeau John S. Powell recorded B&O 5315, a P-7 named President Johnson at Philadelphia in 1927, the year it was built. The website loco-info.com states that the 20 P-7 class were "...the most powerful Pacifics ever." Full specifications for the class can be found here. And is that a 1926 Ford Model A touring car stopped at the crossing?

Bob Date: 01/06/26 05:20 Re: Impeached Presidential Pacific Author: train1275 Really neat image !
I am pretty sure that is not a 1926 Model A. My guess might be a circa 1920 Hudson. It appears the crossing is electronically protected by some sort of flashing light on the crossbuck mast and that is probably the wooden conduit visible in the foreground under the track. AI couldn't "read" the locomotive number correctly from the original (neither could I). Or were they Olive Green ? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/06/26 07:15 by train1275. Date: 01/06/26 06:53 Re: Impeached Presidential Pacific Author: wp1801 Wonderful photo, both B&W and colorized!
Date: 01/06/26 09:25 Re: Impeached Presidential Pacific Author: CPR_4000 The most powerful Pacifics ever? Interesting claim.
Date: 01/06/26 23:01 Re: Impeached Presidential Pacific Author: arelpy I guess the folks in the neighborhood liked the color version better, because four more of them came out to see the train. Also, the young guy (boy) closer to the tracks in the b&w photo seems to have turned into an older man with a hat. And AI spelling is always pretty interesting - and not just on the crossbuck. I'd love to know what random lettering it put on the side of that tender. These are alot like the kids' "how many differences can you find in the two drawings" puzzles we used to see in "Highlights Magazine" - but are the adult version. Still entertaining!
Date: 01/07/26 00:03 Re: Impeached Presidential Pacific Author: MacBeau The secret to successful AI is verbal abuse. Being polite to an AI that your asking to perform a task is counterproductive. The most successful professional users of AI thus far encountered treat their AI engines like garbage (or worse) and get stunning results. One just badmouthed an AI engine into writing two month's worth of code in less than three minutes. Was almost unbelievable to watch it work and then debug it all too when finished. If he takes the rest of the month off his employer will none the wiser and will still get the project ahead of schedule. All it took was the right long chain profane invective.
