An added bonus is that 28 years later the 2012 is still going strong while every one of those cars in the photo was most likely made into razor blades years ago!! Used on Lehigh Gorge trains as well. Originally DL&W electric commuter cars.

The cars the BM&R purchased were trailers. Never powered. Posted from Android Chris Bost Leesport, PA Date: 03/26/26 19:39 Re: Blue Mountain and Reading 2102 Author: grizzledgary rbenko Wrote:

The fact that the RBM&N with #2102 still provides an experience very reminiscent of the mainline excursions of the past easily qualifies it as my favorite steam locomotive currently operating. I would miss it greatly were it not in service. On the other hand, as I am also somewhat passionate about what I drive I'll offer that with the possible exception of the Jeep or that goofy Toyota minivan there isn't a vehicle in that lineup that I would want the keys to! My dad bought one of those Toyota Vans, a 1989 model, used around the time I graduated high school. He sold it a few years ago but it's still on the road. He sees the guy he sold it to drive it frequently. I had it on a multi day trip and drove it a few other times and I found it good for what it was. A bit sad there aren't more left now.
