Steam & Excursion > Winterail ExcursionDate: 03/27/26 15:08 Winterail Excursion Author: roustabout Albany & Eastern ran an excursion to Sweet Home (and beyond) with Santa Maria Valley #205 today. The run was well attended and featured two photo run-byes. The video was taken at the second location, a mile or two east of Sweet Home, near the current end of the line. There are no active customers east of where chips are loaded (a few miles east of the lumber milll in yesterday's post), just the remains of several lumber mills that used to be in this area. The only traffic is the occasional passenger train and movement of storage cars to or from the siding here.
