Does no-one appreciate contrast? Last time they headed to Cal. 4014 was in all black and unassisted. Today, a whole other ball game with whitewalls, the Lincoln, the 1776 and a level of spit and polish not seen since CP 2816...Contrast Gentlemen. Great Pic, thanks for posting!

I would agree. NOT a fan of the white wall wheels. She lloks like something coming outta the West Side Of Dayton, Ohio in the early 1970s with those "pimp" white walls. 

Well, sure....  Except in real life 4014 is just a big ass freight locomotive pulling a varnish. It's been sent out to represent Union Pacific to customers, dignitaries, the folks who live in railroad towns across the country and to celebrate a merger that creates a true transcontinental railroad, not to mention the 250th birthday of the Nation. Would you pull a roundhouse mechanic out of the shop and send him out to rep the company in his greasy coveralls? Of course you wouldn't, you'd have him clean up and put him in a Tux, wouldn't ya?
