Steam & Excursion > UP 4014 / SLC to Elko

A couple of shots of 4014 from Saturday's run from Salt Lake City to Elko. We followed all the way and stayed over in Elko as we had an invitation to a private tour in the Elko yard on Easter Sunday.

1. The Big Boy has a nice plume of steam as it crests the hill at Orange St on the west side of Salt Lake City. With 260 miles to go it will be a long day for the crew and fans chasing.
2. UP 4014 steams west between Burmester and Timpie on the Shafter Subdivision. The tire tracks in the foreground suggest someone had a bad time recently.
3. Land and water overlap as UP 4014 approaches Burmester.
