UP 4014 Portola Bound

Sunday, April 12, the Big Boy gets rerouted back through the Feather River Canyon due to tje forecast of snow over Donner Summit.  Leaving Roseville at 9:30 AM, the Big Boy didn't come into view at our location north of Oroville.  Despite the rain and cold winds, it was worth the wait when the train arrived a little after 1:00.  Great vantage point above the Feather River rail bridge.
