I agree, this shows that you never know what the future holds in mainline steam. It may be a pause in time for other locomotives like the 4449, 700, 3751 and others due to insurance, PTC and so on out on the mainlines …but you never know what may happen when the right people come together that have the power and influence to bring opportunities together.

When I was a kid, we climbed all over the huge, cold 4014 at the LA County Fairgrounds, back when all the of locos that are now the Rail Giants museum were parked on a spur over by the horse barns. Never imagined that we would see it in its current condition.
