Speeders to Seidel (PA)!
Author: Pattenburg

On May 2nd, the Northern Central Railcar Association had an excursion over Reading Blue Mountain RR’s tracks.  This excursion started in Nesquehoning (PA) and traveled to Seidel where the cars were turned for the return trip. Forty-nine cars signed up for this trip. Here are some of the photos from that trip.
PHOTO 1: Some of the forty-nine cars waiting to depart in Nesquehoning at the depot.
PHOTO 2: At the Tannery Road siding in White Haven, the cars would back onto the siding in order to let RBMN’s PIJT (Pittston to Jim Thorpe) pass. Once it passed the cars would head back out on to the main and continue their trip.
PHOTO 3: Passing through White Haven, PA.

To be continued...

The journey continues…
PHOTO 4: At the Crestwood Road grade crossing in Mountain Top, the cars had stopped for the okay to proceed through the crossing.
PHOTO 5: Coming into RBMN’s Penobscot Yard where they will take a short break.
PHOTO 6: This caboose represents a tribute to all the residents who have worked for the various railroads. That plaque in front of the caboose listed all their names. I thought that was a nice tribute to those people.
Thanks for coming along!
