I'm optimistic about what KY Steam is doing now, and love that my home state has such a well equipped operation at a site that traces its roots back to L&N. Small correction-the C&O Kanawha on-site is 2716, and its restoration pretty much has been central to KY Steam's mission(to the point that their founding/charter date was intentionally chosen as February 7th, 2016). I was able to ride behind it for part of the move from New Haven to Ravenna in the summer of 2019, although it looks like after some initial major tear-down progress has since been slow. I'm hoping some movement can happen soon, especially since if I'm not mistaken they've already signed an operating contract not too far into the future. If I'm not mistaken, though, 152 in particular has more funding behind it at the moment. Whatever the case, though, I'm excited the operation is there, and hope that some completed projects roll out before too long.
