Steam & Excursion > Nevada Northern Ry #250Date: 06/27/26 19:27 Nevada Northern Ry #250 Author: Earlk Joining the USA 250 celebration, The Nevada Northern has repainted its former SP SD-9 into a red/white/blue scheme based on the original EMD paint applied to its one-and-only road diesel, SD-7 #401. 401 still exists as a power plant switcher over in Delta, UT and has been promised to the NNRY museum, but had yet to be turned loose. The second photo is of 401 back in 1987 before it was sent to Utah.

I'm curious if the NN actually had the first locomotive painted for the 250th, as I remember they painted the locomotive either very late last year or very early this year. It did seem to pre-date most of the others.
