UP 4014-4012 Reunion Photo Shoot
Author: CR6377

This is 4014s first official photo shoot, since being restored to service. Pete Lerro photography hosted the event at Steamtown (Scranton on June 27th) and two more days, Today the 28th and tomorrow the 29th. Reenactors and artifactional smoke was used to make 4012 look like it was under steam, plus help 4014 look under steam as well, although it was cleaned up earlier in the day. The moon played a role as well which was a great bonus. Ed Dickens (Head of the Steam Management) was there as well and even got in on the special as well, which he was more than likely thrilled (I mean why not?). The event went from 8pm to 1230am. Worth the money! Thank you. More pictures to follow.

Bonus B&W photo of Ed renacting the person writing "Big Boy" on the front of 4000, although in this case 4014. He was for sure having a good time being part of the event, and will be for the next two days. He removed the eagle from the 4014 to make photos a little more accurate. Didn't realize the 250 decal and Eagle were two seperate pieces. As note, smoke sticks were used to make 4012 look like it was under steam, the wind helped a few times and make it look like both engines were under steam. More to follow

Several people renact maintenance workers working on the 4014. An army solider poses for the camera. As noted, the moon was out and about for half the evening, and opened up some opportunities. The smoke made the headlight glares stand out very nicely. More to follow.

A reenactment of the PRR T1 photo with the buinessman was done with the 4014, men with suits (Pete Lerro included) are posing for the camera. A couple of female workers are cleaning up the headlight of the 4012, with 4014 alongside, the light coming through the 4014s firebox is actually really well done, along it's one of the photo lights coming through on the other side of the engine, but who cares? It's really cool! More to follow

Ed poses for the photographers with the 4014, him being involved with the photos was I believe as on the spot thing. the 4014 chalking writing was a huge hit. And one more with 4014 with the moon smoke and headlight glare thanks to the smoke from the other side of the engine. Was worth spenind the evening in Scranton, and worth the money for this extremely occasion.
