Great angles on this small railroad museum.  Thanks for reminding us that UP has an 800 on display at Council Bluffs, Iowa.  What's under the white tarp-?  A caboose-?

She was in much better shape in 2017 but still rough.  Could only photograph through chain link fence so drone photos help. Under the wrap is wooden CB&Q caboose #13855.  Also there CB&Q Ten Wheeler #915 even then very rough, and a lot of other interesting rolling stock.  No signs anything being done, at least the caboose rated a wrap to slow things down....  (more photos if any interest)

Sounds like they need some volunteers, preferable young blood to carry the torch.

They need a large infusion of cash . Heartbreaking to see the deteriorated condition of museum stock esp the spray painted Union Pacific RPO.

I was there last month for railroad days and the inside of the parlor car was just as rough, but at least still original. A staff person did fix the cord to the 915 bell, so that the kids could ring it. Inside the depot things were in good shape.  They just need lots of money to restore everything.
