NWP engine number 2 was acquired new by the ER&E, Eel River and Eureka Railroad originally named the "Iaqua" in 1883. It was built by Baldwin. It became SF&NW number one in 1903 and NWP 2 in 1908. It was retired in 1920. The photo is either 1913 or 1914. The railroad between Dos Rios and Fort Seward was completed September 22, 1914. mdo |
