All,

Here's Rio Grande train No. 17 roaring westbound through Arvada, CO on 10/20/77. The smell of frying bacon trailing from diner Silver Banquet was always enough to drive you crazy, especially if you left home to go "shooting" without breakfast.....and the fall color around Denver, well, here it is!!

Excellent shot Rich. I envy you that you were able to get the Zephyr!!! I went out with my dad a few times I'm sure, but I was only four when the RGZ was discontinued. :(

It is amazing how different the area looks now from when you took that pictures. The trees are much bigger now; it just feels a bit more enclosed these days.
