Here's Rio Grande train No. 17 roaring westbound through Arvada, CO on 10/20/77. The smell of frying bacon trailing from diner Silver Banquet was always enough to drive you crazy, especially if you left home to go "shooting" without breakfast.....and the fall color around Denver, well, here it is!! I went out with my dad a few times I'm sure, but I was only four when the RGZ was discontinued. :(
