MPI on UT Rwy in '91

In the early '90's, Utah Rwy leased a bunch of MPI SD40m's for raod work. Here in Aug '91, four of them are racing an approaching thunder storm as they bring a loaded coal train around one of the many curves on Rio Grande's Subdivision 6 near Narrows, UT.

Most all of these units are now leased to CSX
