Don't know the history as to why it's called Green River but it's just west and north of where the 71 and 91 freeways meet, west of Corona and south of Chino Hills. Maybe 3rdswitch might know why it's called Green River as this is his territory.
I've always like this area for the scenery. Esperanza is just west of this location which I also liked to shoot at. Of course (as photobob says) it's all crap now. The trestle in this photo is gone, being replaced with a concrete bridge. When they built mains two and three through the area, they left the original trestle standing and built a concrete one next to it. Could be wrong though. Scott |
