Since there was discussion about Neil a couple of weeks ago, I thought I'd scan this image I have taken both Neil & Bob Bongorno as 2472 negotiated it's way along King Street. I never knew Neil, but Bob I knew for a couple of years prior to his passing when I came to work on Caltrain.

You should send a copy of this to Axy, he liked Bob, told stories about him all the time.
I don't know if he took his laptop to Weinierail with him to see this.

Great picture Frank of two of the most competent and conscientious railroaders you will ever meet in your life!

My wife and I attended the '92 NRHS convention and rode several excursions. We had the opportunity to meet and talk with "Neil Vodden" at 4th & Townsend in SF for a few minutes. A real gentleman thru and thru.. May he rest in Peace !!

My friend "MargaretSP Fan" knew these guys too and I'm sure she'll have some nice comments when she sees this photo. Thanks for posting!

Yessir... that’s my dad there- Bob Bongiorno, very proud of him. I wish I could find more pictures or anything that is related to these guys, I thought Benny Ramano published a book of old time railroad photos that he had took. Sure like to get a hold of that guz my father Bob was an avid photographer and he and Benny would go out quite often to document the peninsula rails.
