Hey friends, some questions about the Red River RR museum:

- Do they have an active web page? All the pages I could find when I searched for information were either old, out of date, or connected with the Katy RR Historical Society.

- Some time ago, we discussed the possibility of a second UP miniature train being housed at Denison at the museum. Is this factual?

- Does the Red River RR museum have any steam locomotives in their collection?

Any other information would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can't help on this one.

Not that I know of. The "motive power" in the collection consists of ex-MKT F-unit slug 401, which was given green and yellow nose stripes despite not wearing them in service.

Several folks connected to the museum post on the Railspot list at Yahoogroups -- you might want to try there. I think the museum hours have been cut way back, so you might want to plan ahead if you want to drive up and see what they have inside.

Also, shortline Dallas, Garland & Northeastern often parks engines right outside too, offering good roster shot opportunities if you're so inclined.
