Foam in Bridge Yard (Oakland, Calif.)
Author: stash

Harre Demoro shot this photo in the Bridge Yard of the Key System on July 8, 1956. White flags on 1005 indicate an extra Sacramento Northern train with the markers attached to 751. Railfans explore the yard and Key System equipment during the stopover. 1005 resides today at Western Railway Museum, Rio Vista Junction, California.

More photos to be posted, from the collection of historian John Harder.

It should be noted the Key System rail operation shut down 48 years ago on April 20, 1958.
