Nostalgia & History > Looking For Photos Of SP In The SF ValleyDate: 06/19/06 20:39 Looking For Photos Of SP In The SF Valley Author: northridgeswitcher In am looking for photos of the Southern Pacific coast line trains/locals between Gemco Yard & Chatsworth in the San Fernando Valley between the late 1970's through about 1985. Also photos of the line and the Gemco Yard itself.
If anyone has any they are willing to post it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance to all that reply. Northridge Switcher Date: 06/19/06 23:52 Re: Looking For Photos Of SP In The SF Valley Author: distantlightsecho It's not a train, and it's a horrible scan of a horrible picture. I always enjoyed seeing this sign when I was a kid...anyone know if it's still there?? Photography has never been my thing, but I do have a few more horrible pictures from in/around the Gemco area during the specified time period. It's just a matter of finding them.

It was alongside the access road to the yard office, a road also shared by the "late" (to work) General Motors workers, who also used it as a 'test track' for the new Camaro's!
