ATSF SFRD Reefers used for storage

A friend of mine has a business in Albuquerque that uses these SFRD reefers as storage. Paint is still pretty good. I think she has had them since the early 1970's.

I stumbled upon some wooden cars in Hemet CA still with the Santa Fe style air scoop ventilator hatch covers. The Santa Fe markings were barely visible. This was about six years ago and being used as storage.

I see that this one reefer was condemned in 1963. I wonder where it was from 1963 to the early 1970s?

About 6 months ago in the Rochester, IN paper, there was a picture of a home that had been torn apart for remodeling. The contractors found that the basis for one of the previous home additions was a wood sheathed reefer.
