Nostalgia & History > a Rio Grande before & afterDate: 04/14/07 20:35 a Rio Grande before & after Author: xtra1188w This black and yellow geep is what D&RGW geeps looked like when they were new. The second image is how some of them looked for a while after the Grande sold off their older power approximately 30 some odd years later.
A&NW #11 is an ex D&RGW GP9, but I am unsure right off hand as to what its former number was. Con Date: 04/14/07 20:55 Re: a Rio Grande before & after Author: NH2006 Awesome Con! Not too many pictures here of that first generation Rio Grande paint, oddly enough. One of those old Great Western high nose SD9s, 914 in the old GW paint, may soon be on the rails again around here...

They salvaged the generator out of the GP9 that went into the drink last month. Should be running now, unless the BNSF -9s warranty work is in the way. |
