WRRC Baldwin #1107 in Texas -- Dec 77
Author: gcm

Here is VO-1000 #1107 on the Western Railroad Company in Texas.
I don't exactly remember where this was -- I believe it was along the Missouri Pacific. I remember seeing WRRC engines from the InterAmerican. It might have been near New Braunfels?
Anyway #1107 was built in 1943 for the Colorado & Wyoming.
Luckily it was saved and is now at the Age of Steam Railroad Museum in Dallas.

Looks like the Western Rail Road (yep, two words) Company is still in business, with an office address of 2686 Wald Road, New Braunfels, TX 78132. The WRRC is a member of the American Short Line & Regional Railroad Association and serves the cement and aggregate plants of Cemexusa.

Yes the Western is still in business, tho the cement plant has changed a couple times. It was built between the MOP, where the plant is located, and the Katy. Prolly just to beat the rate for cement down. Of course, that point has been moot for some time !! They do come out to reach car storage across a public road,
