Maybe it will help inspire me to finally get around to painting my model of 4350. Date: 07/02/07 09:14 Re: SP #4371 and 4350 Between Mina and Luning Aug.'84 Author: samreeves Very nice.

Date: 07/02/07 20:18 cadillacs letter for cotton belt? Author: eljay this neat picture made me realize that i've never seen a pic of an ssw sd-9.
memory is not what it once was; there *were* ssw gp-9s (weren't there?) so, were any sd-9s lettered for the cotton belt? many thanks, eljay Date: 07/02/07 20:46 Re: cadillacs letter for cotton belt? Author: drew1946 I know there were Cotton Belt geep 9's because I shot one (with a camera) on the Permanente, but I can't ever recall seeing an SD9 lettered anything but SP. 4450 and 4451 were owned by NWP, according to their cab cards, but I don't think any diesels were ever lettered for it.

JDE Date: 07/03/07 12:28 Re: cadillacs letter for cotton belt? Author: TomPlatten I was wondering about this line! What was the bulk of the traffic and why did it close down. I believe it connected with the narrow gauge at one time!
Date: 07/03/07 12:49 Re: cadillacs letter for cotton belt? Author: drew1946 The line was narrow gauge and after it was standard gauged by the SP, it still met the narrow gauge at Mina ubtil that was abandoned around 1940. The section between Thorn and Mina was abandoned due to storm damage in the winter of 84/85.
