I'll say Connersville, IN. If that's so, boy I have to get down there and see her she's looking much better than the last time I saw her.

Yup. Picture was taken yesterday amidst hazy sunshine.

Hopefully we'll see it running down the line soon.

Am I correct in assuming that this is an SD9 that has been rebuilt with a low nose and maybe an upgraded engine?

It could have been an SD-7 or SD-9 that was converted to a Milwaukee Road designation of SD-10.

This was done in the early 70's. It consisted of upgrading the unit by 50 HP, and chopping the short hood.

If I could find my detailed list I would tell which it started out as, but alas I've misplaced it.

MILW SD10 532 was built as SD7 2210 in 1952. It was renumbered to 510 (I believe in 1959). In January 1976 it was rebuilt by the MILW as SD10 532.

Built 02/54 as SD9 #2235, renumbered #541, r/b 10/75 as SD10 #532 (2nd loco to carry #532), Soo 532, Donated to WVRR by CP Rail in 2001

Apparently we have found another error in the late 1970s roster put out by the Railroad Locomotive history group (can't think of their actual name and don't have the roster with me right now). It's not the first error found.
